Uneducated Apostles

Orality, literacy, and leadership development is a huge issue today as the gospel spreads across the Global South. To teach and train church leaders of the 21st century, this encyclical revisits the plan and teaching of Christ as laid out to the Apostles and Christ’s churches. It will explore how Jesus and the Apostles spoke with a skillful confident authority despite being “craftsmen literate.” By mastering the essence of Jesus’ teaching through Socratic discussion, entire churches were established despite those who were uneducated and illiterate. This encyclical addresses the paradigm framework for training and establishing today’s churches thus gaining a full understanding of “the way of Christ and His Apostles.”
